SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed with regards to the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status check [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The service position established for intervention encounters a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out sassa status programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all prospects and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
